Multiple truths are allowed to co-exist at the same time.
There are many people who run in body positivity groups who don’t believe that you can still want to lose weight while being positive about where you are as well. But it makes people practice the exact practice that they are trying to avoid.
You don’t have to think in black and white.
I understand that many of these things can trigger someone. Talking about calories, diets, or even just mentioning the words weight loss. But what I have found is that through working into what triggers you, you can find healing.
You can work into these triggers to gain true diet trauma healing.
Black and White thinking does not help anyone.
I don’t allow my belief system to be so limited. I bend my beliefs to work for me instead.
You don’t have to feel powerless and only choose one or the other.
You simply get to make up the rules and get what you desire.
Become your own best friend.

Energy work is the foundation of changing anything in your life.
At some point in your life, a family member or love interest has made a nasty comment about your weight. Or your Ego could be telling you the story that you will only be accepted by anyone if you look a specific way.
It makes you want to prove them wrong and fight for what you want. It’s called resentment energy. The best way to get rid of resentment energy is to actually forgive the people who put the resentment in your mind.
To be able to have sustainable weight loss, you need clarity, not resentment to be the leading force in your mind.
The whole idea of a revenge body stems from resentment and Ego.
And while the results from Ego-influenced weight loss might give you the high that you crave, it won’t last for long. These feelings aren’t sustainable. Once you have accomplished your “mission,” your purpose for having lost the weight will also disappear. Which can put you into a diet yo-yo.
And then there is the whole issue of why do you want others to feel the regret?
It’s a very layered subject: the revenge body.
But another large problem is that it creates resistant energy.
Resistant energy creates massive problems. In not only being able to lose the weight, but it also leads to you losing the weight in a way that self-harms.
None of it makes you feel aligned, nor does it work for very long.
You want to try and see the deeper layers of your want to lose weight. What do you really need to work on?
Lastly, you need to forgive and clear the energy. Weight loss should be all about Love.

One of the biggest problems with quick result diets is that you are rarely dropping actual fat weight right away. You are in an extreme calorie deficit and usually drop water weight and stored glycogen.
This instant fix is an easy thing to get addicted to, and then can make you feel like a failure if the weight comes back at all.
When you are constantly in a calorie deficit, your body worries about starving. This is why I teach my 1on1 clients how to strategically re-feed your body while losing weight to reassure your body that it isn’t starving.
You have to respect your body & that it has specific functions.
You can’t place a ton of meaning on every single time that your body gains back some weight. This reinforces your limiting beliefs about what you can and cannot have to eat in your life. But you don’t have to be limited like that. It is all in the meaning that you have given a purely natural part of losing weight.
Weight Loss is NEVER linear. Fluctuations are a part of your natural weight loss journey.

Where is your disconnect?
I hate labels, so understandably, many people don’t like to label themselves with a problem either. So while you might not label yourself as an emotional eater, there is a good chance that emotional eating creeps into your life here and there.
Emotional eating is just when your mind is searching for a disconnect from your current situation. It isn’t just for when you are sad or upset about something, but when you are overstimulated and looking to have fun as well!
Food takes you away from that overstimulation happening around you and connects your eating to your emotions instead of your stomach.
It also “helps” the next morning when you want to disconnect from the unpleasantness of a hangover.

Taking action toward your goal is awesome! There is no way to get to your goals if you don’t put action behind your mindset change.
BUT IT IS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD IF YOU DON’T DO EVERY ACTION PERFECTLY.
Do I need to repeat that?
It is just fine to diet as long as you approach it from the right mindset. Your mindset cannot be that you have to follow it absolutely perfectly. Give yourself some grace and forgiveness and just put the mistake behind you.
You are not helpless to your diet or to the things that happen to you. You create your reality and get to decide how these things affect you.

So what weight loss strategy do I actually do? The way that I notice perceive weight loss is that there’s one right way to do it.
Should I count calories? Or is that bad? Do I cut out carbs and sugar or go vegetarian. Should I drink metabolism boosting tea? I need the solution please help me! Like there’s a cookie cut program that will be the magical solution for everyone.
But the perception is wrong - there isn’t this one right way to eat or diet or lose weight that is for everyone. The thing is with diets - are you able to sustain it and what is your relationship to it?? I also talk about consistency and why people's perception of consistency is all wrong.
People’s perception of weight loss is focused on the quick fix. Even if you don’t think you are most of the time people are.
Emotions are the foundation for weight loss. Emotions are the foundation for everything.

Getting off track in your weight loss journey can be catastrophic.
Or it can barely be a few little blips in your entire journey.
It’s all in your mindset.
How I Know that I’m Getting Off Track
- Noticing over-indulging
- Feeling sluggish
Getting off track is horrible as it shifts your momentum from weight loss to weight gain. And then it snowballs. But you can stop this snowball right in its tracks by maintaining your thoughts and emotions to get back on the right track in your weight loss journey.
As soon as you start to see a shift from weight gain to weight loss, it can easily change your mentality from calm to frantic. Especially as you try to find an instant fix for the problem.
But putting yourself back on track won’t happen instantly. Thinking that it can be fixed immediately is what keeps you in the yo-yo of gaining and losing weight.
The biggest problem that keeps putting you off track and catastrophic weight gain is the mentality that you will always be perfect with your diet and losing weight.
Hint, hint, you probably won’t be, and that’s ok!
You have to learn to manage your emotions around making mistakes. To look at a mistake at face value and not wallow in it. Then, and only then, can you fix the mistake before it snowballs.
Allow yourself to make mistakes.

Does being body positive mean that you can no longer want to lose weight?
I strongly feel like being body positive doesn’t mean that you have to limit yourself to always be exactly as you are right now. You also don’t have to be stuck in your current body just because of past eating disorders either. It is so limiting to believe that your past makes it so you can’t have a healthy relationship with losing weight or food in the future.
Dieting can bring up feelings of deprivation, fear, and negative emotions. But it doesn’t always have to be done with these negative vibes.
Losing weight can be a positive process too!
You have to become a vibrational match with the body you want to have before you can have that body, and the best way is to be positive about the body that you have now! To have the self-love needed to want to enjoy working on yourself.
Just remember, that what you really want is to be free from negative emotion. Changing your thought process around food and losing weight is the best way to do that.

Let’s drop back to about 10 years ago, I was OBSESSED with getting the line on my stomach that I have now. To the point that I drove my then-boyfriend nuts talking about the foods I couldn’t eat because of the current diet I was on and always being negative about my body.
But that isn’t who I am anymore.
Now I am a naturally slim person and its permanent. This is who I am now!
I have learned that I create my reality and that is what I want for you too! No amount of action makes up for misalignment. You have to bring these thoughts into your conscious mind and focus on them every day.
My Current Mindset: My Body Gets Better & Better with Age.
The more you open yourself up to manifestation, the more you will surprise yourself. I am not “better” at manifestation than you, I’ve just been doing it longer. So let’s get started on your mindset!
Your mindset is key & the foundation of who you are. Let YOUR beliefs be the first thing you focus on every day.
Manifestation takes repetition. Repetition takes Time.

117 // Making Holiday Food Decisions from Alignment

Did you know that you can go to a Christmas party and not have anxiety about what food will be served while you are there?
That you don’t have to pre-emptively worry about if you are going to over-eat or your diet will be ruined.
Not if you make all your food decisions based off the bodily alignment with yourself.
Dieting mentality is great at creating anxiety around holiday parties and the sweets that holidays bring. The focus on food and mentality is what creates the biggest struggle with food. Don’t approach holiday parties with the mentality that you can start your diet tomorrow.
Tomorrow never comes.
It only becomes the next tomorrow and the next.
Avoid the “I can’t have this” focus and instead, ask yourself if you even feel like eating. Make decisions from alignment with yourself. Don’t make a big deal about it.
You can enjoy yourself on Christmas, just approach it from a place of actual enjoyment, instead of numbing enjoyment.
Numbing enjoyment, or emotional eating, is what leads to overeating and gaining weight. Deprivation = Binging.
When you are making decisions from alignment, you are going to know what to do, so I don’t have to give you exact tips on how to get through the holidays.
There is no specific action step that will save everyone from overeating during the holidays, it all depends on you relying on knowing your body and self.
