Taking action toward your goal is awesome! There is no way to get to your goals if you don’t put action behind your mindset change.
BUT IT IS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD IF YOU DON’T DO EVERY ACTION PERFECTLY.
Do I need to repeat that?
It is just fine to diet as long as you approach it from the right mindset. Your mindset cannot be that you have to follow it absolutely perfectly. Give yourself some grace and forgiveness and just put the mistake behind you.
You are not helpless to your diet or to the things that happen to you. You create your reality and get to decide how these things affect you.

So what weight loss strategy do I actually do? The way that I notice perceive weight loss is that there’s one right way to do it.
Should I count calories? Or is that bad? Do I cut out carbs and sugar or go vegetarian. Should I drink metabolism boosting tea? I need the solution please help me! Like there’s a cookie cut program that will be the magical solution for everyone.
But the perception is wrong - there isn’t this one right way to eat or diet or lose weight that is for everyone. The thing is with diets - are you able to sustain it and what is your relationship to it?? I also talk about consistency and why people's perception of consistency is all wrong.
People’s perception of weight loss is focused on the quick fix. Even if you don’t think you are most of the time people are.
Emotions are the foundation for weight loss. Emotions are the foundation for everything.

Getting off track in your weight loss journey can be catastrophic.
Or it can barely be a few little blips in your entire journey.
It’s all in your mindset.
How I Know that I’m Getting Off Track
- Noticing over-indulging
- Feeling sluggish
Getting off track is horrible as it shifts your momentum from weight loss to weight gain. And then it snowballs. But you can stop this snowball right in its tracks by maintaining your thoughts and emotions to get back on the right track in your weight loss journey.
As soon as you start to see a shift from weight gain to weight loss, it can easily change your mentality from calm to frantic. Especially as you try to find an instant fix for the problem.
But putting yourself back on track won’t happen instantly. Thinking that it can be fixed immediately is what keeps you in the yo-yo of gaining and losing weight.
The biggest problem that keeps putting you off track and catastrophic weight gain is the mentality that you will always be perfect with your diet and losing weight.
Hint, hint, you probably won’t be, and that’s ok!
You have to learn to manage your emotions around making mistakes. To look at a mistake at face value and not wallow in it. Then, and only then, can you fix the mistake before it snowballs.
Allow yourself to make mistakes.

Does being body positive mean that you can no longer want to lose weight?
I strongly feel like being body positive doesn’t mean that you have to limit yourself to always be exactly as you are right now. You also don’t have to be stuck in your current body just because of past eating disorders either. It is so limiting to believe that your past makes it so you can’t have a healthy relationship with losing weight or food in the future.
Dieting can bring up feelings of deprivation, fear, and negative emotions. But it doesn’t always have to be done with these negative vibes.
Losing weight can be a positive process too!
You have to become a vibrational match with the body you want to have before you can have that body, and the best way is to be positive about the body that you have now! To have the self-love needed to want to enjoy working on yourself.
Just remember, that what you really want is to be free from negative emotion. Changing your thought process around food and losing weight is the best way to do that.

Let’s drop back to about 10 years ago, I was OBSESSED with getting the line on my stomach that I have now. To the point that I drove my then-boyfriend nuts talking about the foods I couldn’t eat because of the current diet I was on and always being negative about my body.
But that isn’t who I am anymore.
Now I am a naturally slim person and its permanent. This is who I am now!
I have learned that I create my reality and that is what I want for you too! No amount of action makes up for misalignment. You have to bring these thoughts into your conscious mind and focus on them every day.
My Current Mindset: My Body Gets Better & Better with Age.
The more you open yourself up to manifestation, the more you will surprise yourself. I am not “better” at manifestation than you, I’ve just been doing it longer. So let’s get started on your mindset!
Your mindset is key & the foundation of who you are. Let YOUR beliefs be the first thing you focus on every day.
Manifestation takes repetition. Repetition takes Time.

Did you know that you can go to a Christmas party and not have anxiety about what food will be served while you are there?
That you don’t have to pre-emptively worry about if you are going to over-eat or your diet will be ruined.
Not if you make all your food decisions based off the bodily alignment with yourself.
Dieting mentality is great at creating anxiety around holiday parties and the sweets that holidays bring. The focus on food and mentality is what creates the biggest struggle with food. Don’t approach holiday parties with the mentality that you can start your diet tomorrow.
Tomorrow never comes.
It only becomes the next tomorrow and the next.
Avoid the “I can’t have this” focus and instead, ask yourself if you even feel like eating. Make decisions from alignment with yourself. Don’t make a big deal about it.
You can enjoy yourself on Christmas, just approach it from a place of actual enjoyment, instead of numbing enjoyment.
Numbing enjoyment, or emotional eating, is what leads to overeating and gaining weight. Deprivation = Binging.
When you are making decisions from alignment, you are going to know what to do, so I don’t have to give you exact tips on how to get through the holidays.
There is no specific action step that will save everyone from overeating during the holidays, it all depends on you relying on knowing your body and self.

Have you ever found yourself rifling through the kitchen cupboards? Or just grazing when at a social event and food is put in front of you? It can seem like such a natural thing to do and many people will agree with you.
But if you have been struggling with weight gain, it can show you the deeper reason on why you are finding yourself in the kitchen again and again. And the reason is simply that eating helps your mind cover the negative emotion that you are feeling without even thinking about it.
Dieting mentality brings fear and shame into your weight loss journey.
It tells you that you are eating too much. That you can’t have this or that food. It brings scarcity into your life and mind around food.
Scarcity = Fear.
It triggers binges when you are told that you can no longer eat something or that you should be eating less in general. You want to protect your resources.
But you can find YOUR middle ground.
You can find the place where you loose weight without deprivation. You can find the place where you still can eat all the foods that you love, but with moderation, while still feeling satisfied.

You won't always have positive thoughts about your body.
You are never going to be able to fully get rid of your ego, negative emotions, or the little voice inside your head whispering what’s wrong with your body.
And that’s Ok.
You are NEVER done doing the work to learn how to love yourself correctly. There are so many little facets of yourself that you can focus on. Every little piece of your body. Every part of your personality. So much to discover and uncover in yourself. And you won’t love everything or see it all at once.
Even when you lose weight, you will still fluctuate. But guess what, your feelings about your weight don’t have to. And that’s the mindset that you have to get into.
There will be moments that you get triggered, but that won’t give you the energy you need in your life. So you learn to redirect that thought and not focus on it.
Don’t beat yourself up on a negative thought that passes through your mind.
You won’t get rid of them. You just learn to not focus on them.
But it doesn’t mean anything that it’s there. You have not been taken back in progress because of it. You just let the thought float by and not dwell on it.

Do you feel like you need to protect your energy because you are influenced by others? When it comes to food we often want to copy what other people are doing around food instead of tuning into our own wants and needs. We can also allow others to influence our decisions. But ultimately we are the ones in the driver’s seat after all - we are the only one who will ultimately feel our feelings so we have to make sure we are the ones who ultimately decide how things go.
Something that I’ve been learning to shift lately is not not be so guarded when changing my limiting beliefs - trust and know that if you attract a lot of people fearing food and wanting to believe that weight has to be a struggle you eventually won’t feel as triggered as your confidence compounds.
Confidence is just a practice. Everything is just a practice. Keep going.
