I started the Manifesting Dolls podcast because I spent so much of my life learning this stuff about diets and weight loss. And I discovered a better way to do it all.
Maybe you have tried diets before and they failed. Or left you feeling deprived. And I don’t want that for you anymore.
If you gain the weight back or it is unsustainable, you need to add something to your journey.
Nutrition is just a PART of your journey.
90-95% of what you do is from your subconscious. No matter how disciplined you are in your conscious life, you can’t win with only 5-10% of your brain determined when 90-95% of your brain is fighting against that.
So is your hunger in alignment with your weight goals?
I’ve frequently used the term emotional eating on this podcast and in my content, but I truly believe that this term comes off too narrow for what I am actually talking about.
Emotional eating doesn’t always mean that you have an emotion under your eating, but it can be any kind of trigger. You have to understand your eating behaviors to finally lose weight.
“Hunger” is the word used to describe the sensation of needing food. But hunger or needing food is a complex multi-dimensional perception that is not only influenced by your gastrointestinal factors. Social and conditioning factors also influence your sensation of needing food and your eating behaviors.
The hardest part of losing weight is not understanding the social & conditioned factors influencing you.

I bet that sometime in your life, you had the power to get something that you desired, but something happened that ruined it.
Many people have a moment like this in their life. It is then used to teach us to fear failure while we are young. To learn not to set our hopes too high. THat it isn’t safe to desire something in case it doesn’t work out.
And that is why you are stuck.
This may be a time when many are letting fear rule their minds and don’t know what tomorrow will look like, but it is also the BEST time to turn in on yourself and focus on your relationship with God, The Universe, and Yourself. While you have no other distractions, this is the best time to empower yourself.
You won’t help anyone by becoming a victim to the current scarcity and fear mindset.
SEE YOURSELF RISING UP INSTEAD.
The power is within you.

130 // Handling Anxiety & Weight Loss Worries During a Pandemic

Your emotions are valid.
Many people are worried about how they are going to carry through with their normal lives right now as we adjust to a new normal, social distancing.
It is alright to be worried about your weight loss goals when there are so many other changes in the world right now too. You aren’t able to get out in public as much and be your busy self. Aren’t walking at work or to work, and don’t have the things to keep you busy and distracted from your emergency food stash you also probably have built as well in preparation for being in quarantine for multiple weeks.
But the biggest danger to your weight loss goals (and personal sanity!) is that you will create a reality for yourself that go against what you really want.
That you will create a reality where you are bound to gain weight.
That you will create a reality where the social distancing will damage your mental health.
But you need to remember, your circumstances DO NOT create your Reality.
You Do.
You don’t want to live in a world where you don’t get to decide and don’t have a choice.
You create the rules.
You need to get to the seed of your weight gain worries. These are what feed your decisions and your beliefs. And in turn, create your reality.
For me, laziness would drive me to eat. I had to become aware of the circumstances that would trigger my brain to eat and change how I handled them.
During quarantine, it is OK to feel anxiety. It is OK to feel panic. It is OK to feel scarcity around money. It’s OK to honor those emotions.
Just remember, you have access to other emotions too.
You can access abundance. You can access security in that you are safe in your home.
You have access to any feeling that YOU WANT TO FEEL.

129 // Building Your Future, Instead of Looking to the Past

Your higher self is always moving forward.
This is exactly what makes trying to replicate the past so hard. As resistance is created by trying to reverse the clock. You can implement the knowledge and the strategy that you have learned before, but you are a completely different person, mentally, energetically, and cellularly. Your energy always needs to be moving forward.
You are creating the new.
Your past self is the person who has gained the weight back. Why would you use that person as your role model? You haven’t stepped into the person that you truly want to be yet. Don’t resist the work and growth you have to do moving forward.
You need to build a new solid foundation.
You are becoming the person who has a food relationship with food & your body.
And it feels good.
If you aren’t here yet, and you don’t think it’s possible, it is your brain that is limiting you based off of past experiences. (LINK)
Don’t keep looking at your past and recreating it. You want to be BETTER this time (and that is possible!).

128 // Working Through Limiting Beliefs: "It's too good to be true"

We have a tendency to only allow so much good into our lives. And when we determine that the meter is “full,” we expect and look for the bad things that just “have to happen.”
But the fact is, life is just full of challenges. We can do the work ahead of time and mitigate the impact of the challenges or we can come face to face with the more difficult ones all at once. Manifestation is putting the uncomfortable spiritual work first and growing as a person BEFORE having to deal with the more difficult problems.
If you are wanting to bring things into your life (money, love, ideal weight!), this is a CRUCIAL limiting belief that you need to work on first.
Your brain requires proof through experience. This is where limiting beliefs can come from.
If you don’t shift your belief system, you will just repeat your past again and again.
Only believing something that you have experienced limits what can actually happen in your future. You can, within reason, make your own rules around food.
You are NOT limited to your past. It is up to you.

People filter their reality through their personal belief systems and personal truths. It’s why it is so easy for people to argue, they see their realities differently.
But these filters can also be what puts you into a mental stall around your weight loss.
Your brain likes to remind you how it has failed in the past. That the only way you have actually lost weight previously was to restrict and deprive yourself. Your Ego tells you that that is the only way you will ever lose weight is to do those things and you hated those things, so you will NEVER lose weight again.
It is why people often give up on manifesting weight loss RIGHT before they start achieving success.
They think that the results are taking too long because we are all addicted to the quick fix that fad diets can give us. Quick fixes will never give us what we want though. They don’t have the same long term effects like slow and sustained weight loss will.
The only reason weight loss is hard is because you have always trusted the wrong systems.

Multiple truths are allowed to co-exist at the same time.
There are many people who run in body positivity groups who don’t believe that you can still want to lose weight while being positive about where you are as well. But it makes people practice the exact practice that they are trying to avoid.
You don’t have to think in black and white.
I understand that many of these things can trigger someone. Talking about calories, diets, or even just mentioning the words weight loss. But what I have found is that through working into what triggers you, you can find healing.
You can work into these triggers to gain true diet trauma healing.
Black and White thinking does not help anyone.
I don’t allow my belief system to be so limited. I bend my beliefs to work for me instead.
You don’t have to feel powerless and only choose one or the other.
You simply get to make up the rules and get what you desire.
Become your own best friend.

Energy work is the foundation of changing anything in your life.
At some point in your life, a family member or love interest has made a nasty comment about your weight. Or your Ego could be telling you the story that you will only be accepted by anyone if you look a specific way.
It makes you want to prove them wrong and fight for what you want. It’s called resentment energy. The best way to get rid of resentment energy is to actually forgive the people who put the resentment in your mind.
To be able to have sustainable weight loss, you need clarity, not resentment to be the leading force in your mind.
The whole idea of a revenge body stems from resentment and Ego.
And while the results from Ego-influenced weight loss might give you the high that you crave, it won’t last for long. These feelings aren’t sustainable. Once you have accomplished your “mission,” your purpose for having lost the weight will also disappear. Which can put you into a diet yo-yo.
And then there is the whole issue of why do you want others to feel the regret?
It’s a very layered subject: the revenge body.
But another large problem is that it creates resistant energy.
Resistant energy creates massive problems. In not only being able to lose the weight, but it also leads to you losing the weight in a way that self-harms.
None of it makes you feel aligned, nor does it work for very long.
You want to try and see the deeper layers of your want to lose weight. What do you really need to work on?
Lastly, you need to forgive and clear the energy. Weight loss should be all about Love.

One of the biggest problems with quick result diets is that you are rarely dropping actual fat weight right away. You are in an extreme calorie deficit and usually drop water weight and stored glycogen.
This instant fix is an easy thing to get addicted to, and then can make you feel like a failure if the weight comes back at all.
When you are constantly in a calorie deficit, your body worries about starving. This is why I teach my 1on1 clients how to strategically re-feed your body while losing weight to reassure your body that it isn’t starving.
You have to respect your body & that it has specific functions.
You can’t place a ton of meaning on every single time that your body gains back some weight. This reinforces your limiting beliefs about what you can and cannot have to eat in your life. But you don’t have to be limited like that. It is all in the meaning that you have given a purely natural part of losing weight.
Weight Loss is NEVER linear. Fluctuations are a part of your natural weight loss journey.

Where is your disconnect?
I hate labels, so understandably, many people don’t like to label themselves with a problem either. So while you might not label yourself as an emotional eater, there is a good chance that emotional eating creeps into your life here and there.
Emotional eating is just when your mind is searching for a disconnect from your current situation. It isn’t just for when you are sad or upset about something, but when you are overstimulated and looking to have fun as well!
Food takes you away from that overstimulation happening around you and connects your eating to your emotions instead of your stomach.
It also “helps” the next morning when you want to disconnect from the unpleasantness of a hangover.
